LHLX-PV24/Z/D Photovoltaic DC Bus Box
The LHLX-PV24/Z/D is a photovoltaic DC combiner-box product family for bringing PV string circuits together before the inverter or downstream DC equipment. The offered assembly must be matched to the project one-line diagram, module and inverter data, installation environment, and applicable electrical rules. Monitoring and protective-device arrangements should be confirmed for the exact ordered configuration.
Rating notice: Earlier versions of this listing showed different maximum DC voltages in the overview, component descriptions, and parameter table. Those figures cannot be treated as a verified rating for the complete assembled box. Ask for the current signed datasheet and approved drawing before specifying a system voltage or ordering.
What to Specify for a PV DC Combiner Box
| Project input | What the supplier should confirm |
|---|---|
| PV array and inverter | Module Voc and Isc, temperature coefficients, modules per string, inverter MPPT voltage and current limits, and the approved one-line diagram. |
| String circuits | Input and output circuit count, grouping by MPPT, conductor sizes, cable entry and terminal arrangement. |
| DC ratings | Maximum system DC voltage and current of the complete assembly, plus ratings of each fuse and holder, disconnect, surge protector, busbar and terminal. |
| Protection and monitoring | Required string overcurrent protection, DC isolation, surge protection, monitoring channels, power supply and communications. |
| Installation | Enclosure material and environmental rating, ambient temperature, corrosion exposure, mounting, access and any site-specific test requirements. |
Configuration and Verification
The final fuse or breaker arrangement depends on the module maximum series fuse rating, possible reverse current, calculated circuit current and fault duty. A surge protector and a disconnect perform different functions; neither substitutes for the other. An AC-only protective device must not be assumed suitable for a PV DC circuit. Confirm that all selected components and the assembled enclosure have ratings appropriate to the same proposed system.
For a monitoring version, request a point list describing which string currents, bus conditions, protective-device states and temperatures are measured, together with the communications protocol, auxiliary-power requirements and alarm behavior. Do not infer a complete-box rating from a surge protector or monitoring power module rating.
